R2-D2 Wireless Webcam brings the communication of future to your home! 

R2-D2 Wireless Webcam is Skype enabled, has an integrated webcam and is fully motorised and wireless so he can be remote controlled.

The lightsaber can be used as a remote for R2-D2 or as a Skype USB Phone.

R2-D2 has his own Skype-account. With the special, bundled computer program it’s possible to connect with Artoo from a second computer, wherever you are in the world! The program’s interface lets you truly remote control and move R2 around, save photos or complete movies of the webcams’ footage anywhere in the world!

Webcam

Gone are the dark days of communication without seeing ‘the other side’.

What if you are not at home and want to see what evil is brewing in your living room? Regardless of where you are in the world, it’s possible to connect to your Artoo at home through the internet and move him about.

Lightsaber

Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber functions as a remote control for R2-D2 and doubles as a Skype phone. Just rotate the handle and a dial/control pad will be visible.

All of Artoo’s functions can be controlled wirelessly, through Lightsaber. Make the connection and you can move Artoo around. The lightsaber also controls Artoo’s sound effects.

Three integrated lightsaber sounds are “Activate”, “Idle Hum” and (when moved) “Hit”. The tips light up in Blue and Red.

Lightsaber Stand

The stand is not just a stand… there’s more than meets the eye. It has USB connections and takes care of the wireless link between Artoo and the computer, which is necessary to use the webcam function or control Artoo.

When the stand is connected to a PC, the Star Wars logo will light up.

Software

Included in the R2-D2 Wireless Webcam pack is a PC program that makes it possible to control Artoo’s movements and view the webcam footage within that program.

Other options include recording photos and videos from Artoo’s camera and graphic overlays of an X-wing or the Millennium Falcon cockpit.

Full Function Remote Control

R2-D2 is motorised and all the controls to move him around are located on the lightsaber or can be found in the bundled computer program.

Safety Sensors

R2-D2 Sound and Light Effects

Eleven original R2-D2 sound from the saga will be played at random.

When the Surface Sensors are triggered, a special warning will sound to indicate possible danger of surface endings.

When the powerswitch is set ON, a blue indicator light is on. When the battery power decreases, the indicator light will turn red.
